Measuring thermal transmittance (U) and heat flow

The European directive 02/91 on the energetic efficiency of the buildings and the decree of transposition Italian (DLgs. 311/06) they underline the necessity of the energetic certification for Public and private buildings of new construction Buildings interested in restructuring Buildings trading subjects and location you sets, therefore, the problem of the knowledge of the stratigraphy of the opaque structures, for which it often results essentially the measure in work of the same. To support therefore of the energetic certification the our Technical Engineering Office performs, on the application, the following measures and investigations:Misura transmittance in the site (ISO9869) ¨ These investigations are finalized to relatively furnish data to the structure and particularly in the cases in which the are not available information of project and essential fitting for the calculation of the thermal transmittance to the goals of the energetic certification.

The approach for the calculation of the thermal transmittance can be “numerical” or “experimental.” The numerical method, in absence of a knowledge detailed of the building packet, it asks through for an analysis invasive core boring or investigation endoscopic. The experimental method allows the measure of the transmittance site, through the application of a Thermo fluxmeter and sensors of temperature: this methodology allows to draw data of good reliability, for an evaluation of the value of transmittance (U), in times and costs contained. The measure of the transmittance in site also results, however, advisable in the case is available the information related to the project: such methodology allows, in fact, to calculate with costs, impact and reduced times, an experimental value of the transmittance, avoiding due errors to the lack of coherence between the project and realization of the same. The evaluation of the transmittance can be preceded by an investigation Thermographic, for the best knowledge of the structure and a more accurate location of the following investigations, in a portion of the wall that is a representative of the real situation.

Obviously, before proceeding with the measure in work of the thermal transmittance, he operates an investigation thermografic with the purpose to identify the portion of masonry that has a homogeneity in the various layers that compose the stratigraphy of the partition to be analyzed (in fact, it would not have sense position the probes and the sensors of the Thermo fluxmeter in correspondence of a thermal bridge or where for instance where because of a wrong mass in work of the thermal-insulating material by both lack of the same inside the partition same (deprived zones of insulating material).
